Strategic CounselWe bring a behavioural science approach to business strategy. Achieving a strong competitive advantage begins with a deep understanding of markets as people. It involves meeting the fundamental needs of both customers and employees. We support your strategic efforts in a variety of ways, including SOAR analysis, best practices in goal-setting, consulting on corporate social responsibility, and HR planning to identify the personal attributes that your people need to deliver on different kinds of strategies.
We assess people on personal attributes for selection and development. We use valid tools, measuring only things that link to key outcomes. We’re qualified to use many tests of personality, motives, values, abilities, and interpersonal styles. Our Positive Personal Inventory®
is used to assess positive attributes. We also offer competency-based, behavioural event interviews (BEI’s) – one of the most evidence-based selection tools when properly-designed. We consult on positive selection practices that are seen as fair and accurate by applicants, and are known to boost employee engagement and corporate reputation.
Talent DevelopmentWe engage in science-based methods of talent development, including proper needs analysis. We help to develop positive attributes in people (e.g., mindfulness, optimism, resilience, grit). We also leverage people’s strengths while managing fundamental ‘weaknesses’ (a word that we’re not afraid to use). Our approach to leadership development is assessment-driven, with coaching that is holistic, and based on research in personality, individual change, and positive leadership (e.g., authentic, ethical, virtuous). Seminars and workshops are also available on cutting-edge, organizational behaviour research.
Our core product is the Positive Work Inventory®
, a comprehensive employee survey of the most critical workplace factors known to organizational science. It includes meaningful work – the strongest driver of many employee attitudes and behaviours. Surveys can address many organizational issues and concerns that go far beyond ‘engagement’. Workplace TransformationWe help to determine what people do, and how work gets done in organizations. Jobs are rigorously designed for maximum efficiency and clear lines of sight to performance. Jobs are re-crafted to ensure that work really matters to people, while still delivering on goals and objectives. We help to build positive and virtuous cultures that strengthen employee bonds. Our change consulting is informed by many factors that make transformations successful, including positive attitudes, emotions, and readiness for change. Performance ManagementMany things drive human performance, stemming from both people and situations. Performance management starts with sourcing and developing the right people, and providing them with high-performance workplaces, free of common performance barriers. It involves using the best evidence on goal-setting, feedback, and reward strategies. We design statistically-sound performance appraisal forms, and restore faith in them. Overall, our approach to performance addresses people’s deep psychological needs for personal accomplishment and competence.
