Meaningful Work is Hot

Meaningful work is a hot topic in the business press these days, and for good reason. Our research shows meaningful work to be the strongest driver of many important employee attitudes, including high engagement, satisfaction, commitment, and stay intentions, as well as low burnout and depression. This is depicted in the heatmap, below. The hotter the colour, the stronger the driver.

While meaningful work is currently in vogue as the ‘new employee engagement’, it’s been measured for years on our employee survey, the Positive Work Inventory®.
